The below map, produced by the BetOnline.ag marketing team, is based on geotagged X data in the last week (7 days), tracking tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases for every state about who will win the 2025 Kentucky Derby.  All odds and prop bets for this year's Kentucky Derby can be found here.

For example, tweets such as "Sandman will win the Kentucky Derby," "I'm betting on Journalism," "Sovereignty will win," etc. were used in the study. More than 110,000 tweets were tracked in total.

The horse that had the most "winning interest" (tweets mentioning the horse's name), subsequently "won" that state.

Below is an infomap that displays the results.

As you can see from the map, America is seemingly split between Sandman and the favorite, Journalism. Sovereignty, also a favorite, picked up several states as well.

Please note that this map was created prior to Rodriguez being scratched late Thursday night. The horse won two states, most likely because he is a Bob Baffert-trained runner.
